What is morgan the walking dead?

Morgan Jones is a character in the TV series "The Walking Dead". He is portrayed by actor Lennie James. Morgan first appeared in the pilot episode of the series as a grief-stricken father who had lost his wife and son to the zombie apocalypse. He reappears in later episodes, having developed a philosophy that all life is precious, and refusing to kill humans or walkers unless it is absolutely necessary. Morgan eventually becomes a mentor to series protagonist Rick Grimes and a leader in his own right. He is known for his use of a wooden staff as a weapon and his ability to survive in even the most dire situations.
